Krocreationz: Up to the Timez is a vibrantly refreshing urban line based on crochet! Cousins, Laquana Bramble and Nadia Smith, teamed up to do the unthinkable – make crochet cool again. With traditional concepts of blankets, booties and Rasta hats, they worked outside the box to combine colors, fabrics and patterns infusing old meets new. This Brooklyn based business sprung up in summer 2003 and continues to grow. We have apparel for women and men (accessories too!). Most of our designs are reflections of our inner envisions. With little or no input from pattern books, we use our hands to crochet and our heads to create our next designs. We specialize in one-of-a-kind exclusives for our customers unless requests for additional identical pieces. Our accessories range from legwarmers to neckpieces, and anything in between. As long as you want it we can make it! Krocreationz is also branching out to include punk rock and formal apparel. Our punk rock line is based off of our trademarked characters and vast color system implementation. We use modern concepts of school kids and original rockers to complete t-shirts, cut-up denims and other authenticated punk rock emblems. Our couture line is stemming from the trendy 30’s all the way up to the over attractive 80’s. We work to accentuate women’s curves and preserve the original concept of “sexy” – style, grace, and class. We use various hand weaving techniques to compose our pieces and we are currently developing our men’s couture line. One of our more popular lines is our Caribbean themed pieces. Deeply indulging into our Caribbean Diaspora, we have dedicated a line from our collection to our heritage. We use vivid colors representing our various Caribbean islands such as St. Vincent, Guyana and Trinidad. We are proud Caribbean designers and it shows in our work – we make pieces for the culturally conscious, dancehallers’ and soca revelers’ alike. Krocreationz has appeared at many venues. Since our introduction to different fashion markets and networks our work has been featured on many websites including fashionledge.com, runwaynews.com and other fashion based sites. We have appeared at fashion shows nationally and internationally and have graced many performances such as MTV's cribs: 50 cent edition, Jamaican Dancehall Queen Competition, and beauty pageants. We have been proclaimed “Designers of the Month” by various newspapers and media outlets and are continuing our efforts.
